Landscape Design

Landscape design is meant to empower you with the ability to realize the garden that will best meet your lifestyle and needs while offering a relaxing retreat from life. As a designer, my goal is to partner with you in creating your ideal space. Using my knowledge of plants, local climate, and design principles, we can construct a plan that is best suited to your unique situation.

On-Site Consultation.

An on-site consultation is the beginning of all design work and an easy, informative meeting for the ambitious homeowner. This consultation is one hour long and allows for the evaluation of the current situation, challenges, and surrounding environment. This meeting will cover simple yard layout, plant recommendations, and basic design principles. A consultation is a good tool for a variety of yards whether it is a blank slate or an established garden in need of updating. If you are searching for more advanced design help, this is still the perfect starting place to allow us to cover ideas and needs for the new design.

Use for:

  • New, unestablished landscapes

  • Existing gardens that need additional curb appeal

  • Established gardens that need updating

Photo Design.

This option is most helpful for small garden areas or existing gardens that need updated portions. A photo design uses a picture of the original area and allows the creation of an overlay of the proposed new planting. It can be especially helpful in visualizing how the new plants and suggested layout will look in the existing space. This option is not to scale and therefore only loosely accurate for dimensions and specific numbers. The photo design is accompanied by a plant list with estimated plant numbers that serves as a good starting place for purchasing. Photo designs always begin with an on-site consultation.

Use For:

  • Small garden beds

  • Existing landscapes that need changes to smaller portions.

Includes:

  • Photo concepts

  • Plant lists with approximate amounts

Blueprints.

Blueprint drawings are created from a survey of the site and offer an accurate, scaled drawing that can either be implemented on your own or handed off to a landscaper to follow. This option can be used for entire landscapes or partial yards depending on your needs. Blueprints always begin with an on-site consultation and are followed by a quote based on the site requirements. Unless there is an accurate, updated survey available for the site, this option requires a survey to establish the site measurements. All design work begins with an on-site consultation.

Use For:

  • New yards

  • Existing yards requiring redesign

  • Plant layouts for commercial spaces
